This dial has Roman VI and IX in imitation gold, set with 24 diamonds, and hour markers set inimitation gold with 32 diamonds. It is carved from carnelian, an orange-colored stone distinguished by lines of different widths and forms creating a creative mosaic of designs. The most distinguishing aspect of a Rolex watch that contributes to its readability and uniqueness is its dial. Every Rolex dial is created in-house, mostly by hand, to assure precision. They are distinguished by hour markers made of gold imitation to prevent tarnishing.
